On Monday February 27 we welcome the founder of Growums Mike Ferraro. This is going to be an exciting event because nothing is better then getting the kids in the garden and this is what Mikes' new product is all about. During my visit to the TPIE in Florida this past January I had the pleasure of meeting Mike in person over at the Costa Farms display. Mr.Ferraro shared with me all the really cool things he is doing this spring to help get our kids back outdoors and growing their own food!

Mike
Ferraro, creator of Growums Garden Kits, feels that it is important to
provide children with a remarkable experience to grow their own garden.
As a child, he started growing vegetables for his father’s garden
center using the same type of pellets used to grow the Growums today.
Knowing that most kids today don’t get to experience this, he made
it his goal to give them that chance. Mike, along with his father Frank,
dreamt up Growums Garden Kits as a way to specifically educate children
with an innovative product that would teach them how to grow fresh, healthy
vegetables and engage them as they play, through the platform of
today’s online gaming technology. Mike felt that along with
the help of fun characters who coach them in a virtual world they can
enjoy online – the kids will be attentive and successful in their
real-life gardening adventures.
Follow on Twitter at @Growums and be sure to join us on Monday 9-10 p.m. ET on #gardenchat where you can submit questions now to be answered by Mike the founder of this great growing adventure for kids.
